Tricorp new main sponsor of soccer club VfL Bochum 1848
After sponsoring the Dutch premier league club Willem II for many years, Tricorp is now sponsoring German soccer club VfL Bochum 1848. This sponsorship will bring to an end a period of 40 years during which the club only had German sponsors.
Tricorp and VfL Bochum 1848 complement each other well: they both have the same norms and values, namely hard work, self-assurance and cooperation. The hard-working attitude of VfL Bochum 1848 suits Tricorp, the workwear specialist. Sponsoring is part of Tricorp’s marketing strategy, and since the company already has a strong position in the Netherlands, it was decided to extend sponsorship to Germany. This soccer club perfectly matches Tricorp’s products, standards and values. Dutchman Gert-Jan Verbeek used to be manager at the soccer club, so the team is already widely known among the general public in the Netherlands. VfL Bochum 1848 has been competing in the 1. Bundesliga, the highest division of German professional soccer, for 34 seasons.
Tricorp has signed a 3-year agreement with VfL Bochum 1848, but is committed to a long-term relationship. Tricorp hopes to create more brand awareness in Germany with the sponsorship. Tricorp is not a completely new player in Germany, but aims to become better known among companies and wearers of work clothing. Tricorp is already a familiar name in the Netherlands thanks to its high quality and brand values.
We’re looking forward to working with VfL Bochum 1848, and hope we can represent our brand in Germany for many years to come!
