Workwear for painters

Workwear for painters: slim fit and white!

Tricorp workwear is suitable for every professional and can therefore be found in various industries. Our workwear is particularly popular with painters. This has to do with the fact that we are increasingly adapting our articles to the work that the wearer performs. Our new painters’ trousers have, for example, been designed in collaboration with a group of professional painters.

WHAT CONDITIONS MUST A PAINTER’S WORKWEAR SATISFY?

A painter's workwear doesn't just consist of one outfit. A painter may have to spend the day working in the burning sun, and then the next day find himself in an ice-cold factory hall. A painter must therefore be prepared for any situation. And each situation imposes different requirements on workwear. We have put together the ideal wardrobe for you!

ADJUSTING WORKWEAR TO TEMPERATURE

In most cases, a cotton T-shirt or polo in combination with sturdy work trousers or shorts is sufficient. If the ambient temperature changes, different workwear is often the solution. Because painters often work in different environments and temperatures (outside, inside, summer, winter), it is important that this is taken into account when purchasing workwear. More layers keep out the cold and wind. For working in the sun there are special shirts with UV-block which also have a breathable and cooling effect.

GOOD FIT

It's important that a painter's clothing isn't too loose. Painters often work on ladders or scaffolding with protruding elements. If your clothes are too loose, it can lead to dangerous situations. Therefore we advise painters to opt for slim fit workwear.

WORKWEAR FOR PAINTERS: WHY CHOOSE WHITE?

Although painters’ clothing is available in all kinds of colours, preference is often given to white workwear. There are several reasons for this. First, painters in the past would wore white work clothes, so that the colour of the clothes did not influence the paint during mixing. Wearing red work clothes, for example, gave the paint a pink haze. Although most paints today are mixed automatically, a painter may still sometimes have to mix his own paints. Second, the sunlight reflected from your workwear can affect the colour of your surroundings. For example, if you wear orange overalls, an orange glow will appear on the walls or ceiling. That's rather annoying when you're white-washing the wall! Third, painters often work with hazardous substances, such as thinner. It is useful to be able to see immediately when such substances have spilt on your clothing.

PAINTER TROUSERS FROM TRICORP

Tricorp has developed a pair of work trousers especially for and with painters. The Cordura Painters’ Trousers have 4-way stretch behind the knee-pads and at the crotch. This gives the painter optimum freedom of movement during his work. The knee-pads are finished with the wear-resistant material Cordura. In addition, you have more than enough storage space with our Cordura painters’ trousers. On the left there is a large trouser pocket and on the right there is a special pocket for your smartphone. There is also a hammer loop. In this way, your tools are always at hand. For optimal wearing comfort, the waist is elasticised to make it adjustible. The work trousers are of course available in white. In other words, Cordura painters’ trousers are fully tailored to the needs of professional
