Together we close the circle. Will you participate?

circularity

Tricorp is working towards a circular economy: keeping raw materials in the same product chain for as long as possible. The entire life cycle of an item is therefore already considered in the product design phase. According to the R-ladder, the following is chosen:

  • 1st life: aim for the longest possible lifespan (R2 reduce), ensure that you handle your work clothing correctly.
  • 2nd lifeIf the item cannot be used a second time as work clothing (R3 reuse), an item can either be repaired or altered (R4 repair) or used for recycling (R5).

At Tricorp we actively focus on all these aspects to produce as sustainably as possible.

Reuse

Make someone else happy with your work clothes

Is your work clothing still fine, but would you like to try something new? Give your clothes a second life! Maybe you will make a colleague happy with it, or you can offer it via a second-hand platform; This way the clothing continues to be used and you contribute to a more sustainable world.

Reduce

Use your work clothes for as long as possible

Extending the lifespan of an item is the most effective measure to reduce the environmental impact of the item. High-quality clothing and a higher number of possible washes extend its lifespan. It is also necessary that work clothing is handled properly: with the right care it will not only last a long time, but it will also retain its function.

Textile Therapy
Repair

Repair your clothes

Is your work clothing still in good condition, but is there a button or a seam loose, for example? Fix it yourself or have it fixed!

Is there a hole somewhere and would you like to repair it? Then pay close attention to whether the standards still apply.

Recycle

Gaia Circular

Do you want to build a circular workwear industry together? You can do this by handing in your old work clothes to your favorite Tricorp dealer. All clothing collected goes to Gaia Circular, an organization that collects and sorts discarded work clothing, in collaboration with people who are at a distance from the labor market. Then their partner makes Pour bags of it and Altex new fibers. By working together with Gaia Circulair, we not only contribute to sustainable textile recycling, but we also stimulate inclusivity and create new opportunities on the labor market.

How does it work?

  1. Wash the clothes you no longer wear.
  2. Put the clothes in a bag
  3. Take the clothing to a Tricorp dealer near you.

Simple, right? Nothing is too small or too insignificant to be recycled; socks, T-shirts, jackets or damaged (work) trousers can all be recycled.
