Good work clothing is an investment in comfort, safety and appearance. With the right care, your clothing will not only last longer, but will also continue to perform optimally. Here are a few tips to keep your work clothes in top condition:
1. Always read the care label
Every garment is different. Before washing, always check the label for recommended temperature and washing instructions. Washing too hot can damage or shrink fabrics.
2. Wash less, wear longer
Excessive washing can damage the fibers of your clothes and shorten their lifespan. Is your clothing not visibly dirty? Then hang it outside to air out or in the bathroom during a hot shower - this way you can freshen it up quickly and easily.
3. Wash inside out
Turn pants, shirts and jackets inside out to protect colors and reduce wear on prints or reflective details.
4. Use a mild detergent
Choose a detergent without aggressive bleaching agents. Avoid fabric softener for clothes with stretch or water-repellent coating, as this affects the function.
